Belly Dancing Shoes

Why belly dancing shoes? Because dancing barefoot can be dangerous! For instance, if coins or beads come loose from your costume or from the person who was on stage before you--I have seen this happen to Neena and Veena!--you could step on them and cut your foot.
On a cruise ship, I have had to teach classes in a disco where someone had broken a glass on the dance floor. Also, some dance floors are not very smooth. Another risk is picking up germs or fungus.
So even though belly dance is traditionally performed barefoot, you may enjoy wearing some of the following belly dancing shoes.
